Feathers

In the backyard of a country house, in the middle of the night, it appears that some sort of a fight occurs between two kids. Later, Matei, a ten year old boy, walks on a field alley with a basket on his shoulder. He carries food for Marius, a teenager, who scythes the grass somewhere on the field. Matei goes in the yard, but there he witnesses the process of killing a hen. Matei examines Marius through the fence. In the front yard, Liviu and his son, Marius, dismantle car pieces from a Romanian S.U.V, but Marius doesn’t know exactly how to do it. Liviu humiliates Marius in front of Matei. With anger, Marius forces Matei to take a walk in the woods where they throw rocks in a fence near a place where the neighbour’s cats are. Instead of throwing a rock in the fence, Matei throws it in Marius’s head. Injured, he follows him through the corn field until he bumps into his father. Matei runs, but he returns to see how Liviu beats Marius. The next day, Liviu eagerly invites Matei to help him cut some wood on a stationary electric saw.
