Tonia is director/producer, a member of the EFA and Berlinale Talents alumna. Her films were officially selected in many prestigious and FIAPF accredited A-list international film festivals, including Locarno, Sydney, Karlovy Vary, Cairo, Stockholm, Sofia, Transilvania, Palm Springs, Sarajevo, Santa Barbara, and Seattle, and won several awards, including the FIPRESCI. Her projects have participated in prestigious film forums and workshops such as cocoPITCH, Karlovy Vary WiP, MIDPOINT TV Launch, MIDPOINT Shorts, TFL Next, Agora Crossroads, Sources2, and MFI Script2Film. Her work has received rave reviews internationally from established media, including The Hollywood Reporter and LA Times, and her debut feature “Pause”, which she directed and co-produced, was listed by Rotten Tomatoes as one of "20 most daring films of 2019". The same film was released theatrically in the USA and Europe, sold to many territories in Asia, while also streaming on major platforms like Amazon Prime and HBO Europe.
