Stepanka Cervinkova
Czech-Australian Director, Writer and DP moved to Melbourne in 2010, made documentaries for human rights organizations (Amnesty International, Aboriginal Genocide Centre), commercials, short films and video-art projects. Since 2012 worked as a Senior Film Lecturer for SAE Institute Melbourne, guest lectured at Victoria University and Melbourne University. She received scholarship at Victorian College of Arts (Directing), was selected to attend directorial workshop with Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu (2018) and also was awarded George Paton Gallery Residency Arts Grant & UMSU Fellowship for photographic work focusing on indie queer music scene in Melbourne. Her graduate film Solace won Margaret Lawrence Social Justice Award. In 2018 she shot with DP Ian Jones feature film Measure for Measure, sold to US distribution. She was the main camera operator for the documentary Girls Rock!, purchased by ABC Broadcast, and worked as a Content Producer for Arts Centre Melbourne (2016 – 2020).
