Alasdair Bayne
Alasdair is a Scottish short film writer, director, and editor. In 2012, his short drama Bird screened at Encounters Int. Film Festival and was shortlisted for Best UK Short at Raindance Film Festival. In the same year, his Creative Scotland funded documentary In Search of the Wallaby premiered at Edinburgh Int. Film Festival. In 2014, Alasdair filmed Brother, a short documentary about youngsters in the remote village of Skagaströnd, Iceland. In 2020 he and Talat wrote and directed the Konsomatris; a short that looks at patriarchy in Northern Cyprus. He is currently developing Public, his first feature film, a study of adolescence in a British public boarding school. Alasdair works as an editor for documentary production company Raw in London.
