Rafal Skalski

A film director and a screenwriter of documentaries, fictions and commercials. He finished studies at the Film Directing Department of the Lodz Film School, during which he directed a couple of short movies. His documentary debut, “52 percent" (premiere at Polish State Television in 2007) has been awarded and screened on many international festivals, from Krakow and Amsterdam through Toronto, London, Hong Kong to Vancouver. His next documentaries – “Girls” (premiere at Pol-ish State Television in 2009) and “Lovers” (made for HBO in 2009) continues journey through a festivals. His latest project is 30-minutes fiction – “Play with me”. Skalski was awarded several scholarships for talented young artists in Poland, and was participant of Berlinale Talent Campus. He is currently working on his full-length fiction debut.
