Bas Broertjes (1987) was born in Amsterdam. He started his studies Media and Culture at the University of Amsterdam in 2006. During this time he decided to enroll at the Netherlands Film Academy to eventually be able to work as a producer. Throughout his studie he focused on developing scripts. After graduating he created several short films as a producer and line producer and together with Aydin Dehzad he joined Kaliber Film in 2014. Last year Bas was selected for CineMart’s Rotterdam Lab and IDFAcademy.
