Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 18-year-old Serhii lives in the evacuation zone at the West of Ukraine while his mother decided to stay in their occupied hometown to take care of Serhii's grandfather. As many of his friends joined the army, Serhii left alone. Day and night he volonteers to exhaustion in a humanitarian warehouse. On the day when his mother decides to evacuate too, they have a phone call, but communication breaks down. Serhii tries to contact his mother again, but the connection stays permanently failed. The next day, he learns in the news that a humanitarian convoy near his hometown had been destroyed by Russian shelling. Shocked by this news, Serhii can no longer work and is desperate to save his mother. After several unsuccessful attempts to leave for his hometown, Serhii decides to steal a humanitarian truck and set off in search of his mother.
