Michael has been involved with over two hundred episodes of television, as a writer, producer, showrunner and series creator. He's worked on both half hours (THE TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW, GRACE UNDER FIRE, WINGS, CAROLINE IN THE CITY) and hours (RIZZOLI & ISLES, PICKET FENCES, AMERICAN EMBASSY). He created and produced FAIRLY LEGAL and NORMAL. Michael's currently developing Margaret Atwood's novel THE HEART GOES LAST for MGM television. He just completed an adaptation of the New Zealand series THIS IS NOT MY LIFE for Slingshot Productions, as well as the original series pilot RUN for Ostar Productions. EOne Television has optioned his spec half hour DAGO, which they are currently packaging, and is about to go out to networks with the pitch for HIGHER, a one hour series on which he is partnered with Michael Shamberg of MAS Productions. Michael has previously lectured in New York, Los Angeles and Barcelona.
