Matyas Prikler

Born in Bratislava in 1982, Matyas Prikler graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts, where he studied film direction under the guidance of Stanislav Párnický. Between 2005 and 2006, he studied at the Hungarian Film Academy in Budapest, where he attended classes by János Szász and Attila Janisch. He has made several short and medium-length films such as THE LIFE OF A FLY (2002), AUTOPORTRAIT (2004), THEY ARE NOT YOUR HUSBAND (2006), A FOLLOWING ACT (2006), as well as the documentary films FRANK URBAN-CAJAL (2007) and JURAJ KUBANKA (2008). His short film THANKS, FINE (2009) was screened within the Cinefondation section at the 2010 Cannes International Film Festival. His first feature-length movie Fine, Thanks had a premiere on FF Rotterdam in January 2013.
