Elif Özsüt is a scriptwriter and director from Istanbul, Turkey. She received her undergraduate degree from Sabancı University, Department of Social and Political Sciences, and her master's degree in Film Design and Production from Universita’ Cattolica in Milan. She has explored many different fields of filmmaking as a producer, scriptwriter, and director, mainly focused on documentaries. Since 2015, she has worked in writers rooms for prominent Turkish television series as a professional screenwriter. Some of the series Elif worked for acclaimed success outside of Turkey, mainly in Europe and South America. In 2022 she was selected as one of the finalists for the Netflix Series Lab creative writing program. She continues to develop projects and write screenplays in Istanbul.
