MIDPOINT at Series Mania 2019

MIDPOINT TV Launch is proud to continue its second year of co-operation with festival Series Mania and its industry platform Series Mania Forum. Discover the program and participation!

March 21, 2019 programs

Three of MIDPOINT's graduates - Andreas Kyriacou, Ivan Knezevic and Audrey O'Reilly, will be participating in the second year of the UGC Writer's Campus, a week-long TV series writing workshop, welcoming 20 screenwriters. The 2019 edition is held within the framework of the Series Mania festival, under the supervision of Lorraine Sullivan, in collaboration with Paris College of Art. Further tutors are André and Maria Jacquemetton, who have worked with Matthew Weiner on Mad Men or The Romanoffs, Nicola Lusuardi, a story editor and creative producer at Sky Italy, Kate Harwood, Managing Director of Euston Films, and Camilla Curtis, the Script Development Executive at HBO Europe - Original Programming.

MIDPOINT will be represented at the Talent Corner and the School's Hub, within the Series Mania Forum, with further colleagues offering training and education.

In collaboration with its partners, Serial Eyes and Series Mania Forum, MIDPOINT will be again co-organizing a closed event targeted for European broadcasters, the Broadcaster Think Tank, a round-table session for selected European public and private broadcasters exploring the challenges of creative development in the contemporary television industry landscape.

Partnering up with the Serial Eyes Alumni Network (SEAN), TV Launch graduate Andreas Kyriacou will be performing within the SEAN's Amazing Traveling Pitch Circus, taking place on March 26, 8 pm, at L'Hybride, 18 rue 18 rue Gosselet, in Lille.

TV Launch Head of Studies Gabor Krigler and Program Coordinator Katarina Tomkova will be present at the Series Mania Forum during March 25 - 27, 2019.

 

MIDPOINT TV Launch is realized with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Czech Film Fund, the International Visegrad Fund and the Slovak Audiovisual Fund. It is presented in cooperation with the Finale Plzen Film Festival, the Sarajevo Film Festival – CineLink Industry Days, HBO Europe, Serial Eyes, C21 Media, Series Mania, CANNESERIES Institute, MIA TV Market, CHARACTER – Film Development Association and the Audiovisual Producers' Association. MIDPOINT operates under the auspices of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
